We specialize in helping expats and digital nomads make Brazil a home for themselves with digital nomad visas, permanent residencies, citizenships, and investment services.
The 2020s have demonstrated the importance of having both a plan to maximize one’s ability to live freely and safely.

Why is a Brazilian permanent residence or citizenship worth your time?

• With just one visa, you will have access to an ENORMOUS and diverse territory! Indeed, Brazil comprises over half of South America’s total land mass.
• With Brazil’s federalist system of government and 26 different states, this allows for a great deal of “foot-voting” opportunity if needed. If you don’t agree with how things are run in one state, you can just move to one of the other 25 and likely change your situation drastically and in a positive way since laws and even the culture are different from state to state. And, most importantly, your single visa to Brazil is a visa to the entire land mass. So again, if South America or even Latin America is of interest to you, Brazil is the place to be.
• If you obtain Brazilian citizenship, your Brazilian passport allows you visa-free travel to 169 countries and the legal right to obtain residency (and eventually permanent residency and possibly citizenship) in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. A naturalized Brazilian citizen also has all the same rights as a naturally-born Brazilian, with the exception of not being able to hold some political offices (President, Vice President, etc.).
• Brazil also allows for dual/multiple citizenship(s), so if your existing citizenship(s) allow(s) for the same, obtaining Brazilian citizenship does not preclude your right to maintain your existing citizenship(s).
• In 2022, the Brazilian government launched a digital nomad visa. Barrier to entry is low: with only proof of either a minimum monthly income of US$1,500 or US$18,000 in a bank account. If you would like to “get your feet wet” in Brazil without working directly towards Permanent Residence or citizenship, this is an easy way to do it.
• Note also (for those holding cryptocurrencies), Brazil currently taxes cryptocurrency sales worth up to R$30,000 (currently worth about US$5,900) per month at 0%!
Why Brazil - more generally?

• The people, culture, cuisine, music are FANTASTIC! Indeed, if Latin America is on your mind, Brazil is the place to be.
• Brazil has by far the largest economy in Latin America, is the “B” in BRIC, and is a full member of the Southern Common Market (Mercosur/Mercosul). Acquiring citizenship of a BRIC nation gives you geopolitical diversification. This is of particular importance for citizens of the Anglo countries and the European Union, who seem to be waking up to the shift in geopolitical climate that historically favored these countries. Acquiring citizenship of a Mercosur/Mercosul nation (Brazil being the dominant player) gives you instant access to the major trading block of South America.
• Brazil shares borders with 10 countries and maintains friendly relations with every one of them.
• Brazil’s official language, Portuguese, is a major language, spoken throughout the world, so if you have willingness to learn a new language, Brazil would be highly useful to you in that sense. Beyond the ~213 million Brazilians with whom you can speak, you will also be able communicate with native speakers from 8 other countries where Portuguese is the official language.
